Fundraising
Our fundraising volunteers get involved in supporting us in a variety of roles throughout the year. Whether you wish to commit to volunteering on a regular basis or helping at ad-hoc events we would love to hear from you.
Many of our volunteers enjoy using existing skills or acquiring new skills whilst giving something back to their local community. Training and support will be available, where appropriate.
You may be currently working, studying, retired or wanting to regain confidence having taken a break from paid employment. We have a number of volunteer opportunities which you can fit in around your commitments.
Volunteering opportunities in fundraising include:
- Co-ordinating the sale of Grove House Christmas cards
- Helping with our Collection Tin co-ordination
- Serving at our Tea Bar in the St Albans Magistrates Court
- Acting as an ambassador, giving talks and receiving cheques
- Assisting with street or store collections
- Distributing posters and leaflets
- Marshalling and helping with setting up and breaking down of events
- Forming a team to organise large or small events
- Baking cakes to be sold at our events
- Creating marketing material
- Offering IT/Web support
- Money counting/banking
