Lions roar into action

The money was raised at the annual Lions Blue Bell Walk, now in its eighth year; the walk is now an established St Albans event, attracting hundreds of local families who enjoy the pleasant stroll through beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.

Over the years the Lions have raised more than £50,000 to support the work of the hospice. Walk organiser Willie Martin said, "We are delighted to be able to continue to support Grove house with the vital work it does for local people living with cancer."

Paul Parrish, Fundraising Director at Grove House thanked the Lions and said, "It is vital that we continue to increase our income here at the hospice,  Grove House provides vital services to local people with cancer and life-threatening illness, these services must be funded ? recession or not. The Lions are loyal and regular supporters and we are so grateful for all they do."
