What is the Day Hospice ?
The Day Hospice is a positive and active place, run by trained nurses who will offer you symptom management and emotional support. An individual programme of care will be provided for you in a warm, caring environment.
The team endeavours to assist you in maintaining independence, managing your symptoms and developing coping strategies.
You will also gain support from other patients and the understanding volunteers in this relaxed group setting.
Who can attend ?
Patients with cancer or any life-threatening illness after assessment by the Senior Staff Nurse at Grove House.
When is the Day Hospice open ?
The Day Hospice is open Tuesday to Friday from 10.15am to 3pm and patients attend one day a week.

What does it cost ?
You will be asked for a small charge of £3 per day for lunch. Hairdressing and manicures also carry low costs. All other services are free.
