Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapist at Grove House engages with patients to enable them to live as independently as possible. This is done though on-going practical advice and support. Both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being through a rehabilitation approach.

The service is available from Monday to Friday, via the Outpatient Service, the Day Hospice or Home.

Help offered may include:

Assessment and referrals for wheelchairs
Home visits to consider equipment provision and adaptations
Advice and ongoing support to you and your carers on maximising independence in any activity of daily life
Advice on coping with your illness such as conservation of energy and fatigue management
