Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapist at Grove House engages with patients to enable them to live as independently as possible. This is done though on-going practical advice and support. Both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being through a rehabilitation approach.
The service is available from Monday to Friday, via the Outpatient Service, the Day Hospice or Home.
Help offered may include:
- Assessment and referrals for wheelchairs
- Home visits to consider equipment provision and adaptations
- Advice and ongoing support to you and your carers on maximising independence in any activity of daily life
- Advice on coping with your illness such as conservation of energy and fatigue management
